ds1337 To me, that means that the I2C ds1337 is not working properly. Looking ds1337 at your ds137 monitor printout, it looks like your ds137 was not able to set the clock time. The A1IE bit is disabled logic 0 when power is first applied.

I am not using PCB at present, rather i am doing the same on a vero board and bread-board, so possibilities of corruption of RTC register ds1337 least. If you have an ds1337 handy, put the probe on X1 then on X2 I never know cs1337 ds1337 the correct one, so I try them both, one at a ds1337 and check if the crystal is oscillating.
