The only thing that could have improved the story would be an epilog to better sum up the results of the ending. Of the way the world used to be. Playing the game helped me easily visualize the descriptions of places, creatures and even the different fighting styles of the characters, but I think the author did a good job of making it all accessible to a new reader, as well.

It will just begin to explain a bit more about that year gap between the storyline of the original Guild Wars and that of the upcoming Guild Wars 2. Despite that, I was able to enjoy the book.
